- Firstly, thank you so much for even being on this blog! Also, if you enjoy my work please tell me, if
- not then... well, tell me anyways :) I love constructive criticism.
- Writing means the world to me. I see the world in a different way than most and in the same as others so I like to express that with my writing. My goal is to paint a picture, sometimes in the minds eye and others emotionally. I have always loved writing that put a picture in my head.
- In May of 2011, I wrote my first poem--also the first on this blog, "Eyes". My goal was to make a picture of a pair of eyes that I couldn't get out of my mind for weeks. That day I wrote eleven poems. Then before long it became an outlet, some would call it, but I think of it more as an escape.
- The reason I call it "In My Own Little World..." is because these poems truly come from a whole different place, where love is true and words are... magic. That's the best I can describe the big picture of my writing. In my poems I zoom in on one thing, one moment, one feeling, ect. and describe IT but it's harder to describe what inspires my writing, where it comes from.
- Before my focus was more on the romantic, the ideal, the cliches. My writing, I feel, has shifted to the magical, the wonder, the imagination. Why not embrace your imagination? Why not dive into a fairytale with the eyes of a child? When did that ever become wrong? I don't believe it did and I hope to give you, the reader, that experience.
- Please enjoy my work. I hope you do as much as I love to write it.
